GAO has released its portable IPTV (News - Alert) tester which is used to display real-time test results on its LCD screen for quick and convenient result analysis. IPTV tester is designed with xDSL test functions. It tests the network performance matrix, analyzes the quality of transport stream, and verifies the network configuration. This tester also provides multiple test patterns including simulation, interception, series connection, and straight connection. It supports network interface like xDSL (RJ11). IPTV tester can be considered as an ideal solution for maintaining IPTV services.

GAO Comm’s IPTV tester analyzes the quality of the transport stream according to the three priority levels defined in the ISO TR101290 standard. To ensure a stable network, this practical IPTV tester tests parameters such as jitter, packet loss, transmission speed, and MDI (News - Alert). It supports wide range of video compression formats, stream transportation protocols and network protocols including VLAN, PPPoE, DHCP, Ipv4, IGMP, UDP (News - Alert), TCP, and RTP protocols. It also functions as an STB emulator which is capable of intercepting multi-cast streams. For stream transportation, this equipment offers both widely-used MPEG TS and ISMA specifications. Its video format options include MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, AVS, and VC-1. It also supports RFC 4445, PCR (News - Alert), PID, synchronization bites, and series count analysis, and TDR 110.
