CONNECTIONS Summit Showcases Digital Cable and Telco/IPTV Services Technologies

The speakers and final agenda for "CONNECTIONS Europe Summit: Monetizing Connectivity and User Experiences" have been announced by Parks Associates (News - Alert). Insights into business strategies for digital content, value-added services, connected CE, and advanced video devices and services will be offered at this one-day executive summit which will be held on April, 27, 2010 at the Movenpick Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands.


According to Kurt Scherf, VP, Parks Associates, though there are fewer households in Western Europe which have digital cable and Telco/IPTV services as compared to the U.S., consumers from both regions express similar levels of demand for interactive services such as video-on-demand and connected home applications such as networked set-top boxes. The speakers at CONNECTIONS Europe will discuss these new technologies and the business strategies that best leverage this consumer demand. He added that Benoit Joly, VP, Home Network & Applications, Technicolor, will present the opening keynote, titled 'Reshaping the Digital Home Opportunity with Next Gen Media Devices Delivery.'

Insights will be provided by Technicolor, ADB, IBM, Cisco, Cable Europe Labs, Deutsche Telekom (News - Alert) and more at the CONNECTIONS Europe summit.

Some of the participating speakers are: IBM's Global Telecom Sector Leader IBV, Rob van den Dam; Cisco's Cable, Digital Media & IPTV Strategy for European Markets head, Jean-Michel Demoulin; Juniper Networks' (News - Alert) Head of Carrier Ethernet and Multiplay marketing, David Noguer Bau; Director of Segment Marketing at NDS, Jonathan Beavon; ruwido's Director of User Experience Research, Regina Bernhaupt; and ADB's VP for Strategy, Middleware and Consumer Experience, Paul Bristow.

Insights will also be provided by ActiveVideo Network's MD for Europe, Ronald Brockmannector; Sales and Marketing Director for Intamac Systems Ltd., Keith Donovan; Omnifone's Director for Corporate Communications, Tim Hadley; MD, Institut fuer Rundfunktechnik GmbH; HbbTV, Klaus Illgner-Fehns, CEO of Accedo Broadband, Michael Lantz; and Senior Manager at Deutsche Telekom AG (News - Alert),  Klaus Milczewsky.
