Although the companies can now transmit videos of large sizes over the internet, the technology to send those videos are slow, expensive, or unreliable. To help these companies send high quality videos in a simple manner, LifeSize Communications has introduced LifeSize (News - Alert) Video Center, an innovative new video capture and broadcast system that enables high definition video to be accessible everywhere.
The video can be distributed live on demand, bringing in new possibilities in the field of video based communications.
Companies can now instantly stream, record and auto-publish video, audio and data content with the help of LifeSize Video Center. According to LifeSize, this reduces the cost tremendously and also simplifies the whole process. Utilizing the power of LifeSize 220 series HD video communications systems, the LifeSize Video Center appliance is specifically designed to process HD video directly where it is created.
"With its extraordinary performance at a price point that is within reach of any organization, LifeSize Video Center truly delivers on our commitment to drive innovation and make video communication easy and accessible to anyone, anywhere,' said Craig Malloy, chief executive officer of LifeSize Communications. "LifeSize Video Center's revolutionary one-touch HD streaming, recording, and auto-publishing capabilities can enable customers to develop innovative new applications of visual communications."
According to LifeSize, this architecture is the industry's first solution to enable an unprecedented 20 concurrent recordings in HD, 1000 simultaneous live streams and up to 350 simultaneous on-demand streams. With this, both the content-creators and viewers get features such as automatic, intelligent operation for network administrators. They can immediately play back HD video from the Web-based portal with its one-button recording, 'choose your view' functionality, and intuitive UI.
Recently, the company announced that it has partnered with Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) to offer HD video conferencing for Alcatel-Lucent communications environments. The company has joined as the member of the Alcatel-Lucent Alliance and Application Partner Program, or AAPP, to integrate LifeSize HD video solutions with the Alcatel-Lucent communications platforms. AAPP supports companies that develop communications applications for Alcatel-Lucent enterprise solutions.
