NeuLion, provider of end-to-end solutions for multimedia IPTV (News - Alert) services that encodes, delivers, stores and manages an unlimited range of multimedia content and the Operational Support System or 'OSS' through its NeuLion (News - Alert) IPTV Platform, has announced that the company successfully streamed the live coverage of the Universities of Nebraska and Colorado moving from the Big 12 to the Big Ten Conference and from the Big 12 to the Pac-10 Conference respectively.
The company has been an existing partner of the institutions for e-commerce, web and video publishing services, and enabled both Nebraska and Colorado to communicate these historic changes to the college landscape, leveraging its technology and marketing support. Both the universities aimed at engaging their respective fan bases with high quality video.
In the words of Randy York, Director of Huskers.com at the University of Nebraska, actively working in a fast-moving environment, the University wanted partners who can work with speed and precision, which became evident on the day when Nebraska became a Big Ten Conference member, and it carried back-to-back live press conferences on our website. York continued that on short notice, NeuLion was able to orchestrate everything that was necessary for Nebraska's fans around the world to sit at their computers and watch history being made, building a big pressure upon NeuLion, and the company came through it once again.
Offering its help to companies and organizations in IPTV and multi-platform delivery of news, sports and entertainment, NeuLion provided streaming support to the Huskers and Buffs to enable them in bringing their live press conferences as breaking news to their global fan base. The company provides a wide range of services and technology to hundreds collegiate and professional sports and entertainment properties worldwide.
According to Lindsay Lew, Director of Strategic Sales and Communication at the University of Colorado, once the University became aware of its announcement to move to the Pac-10 Conference, Colorado contacted its partners at NeuLion with a list of things it was hoping for help with and a quick brainstorm on ways to maximize the site traffic it was anticipating on CUBuffs.com. Lew noted that NeuLion delivered ideas, content and graphics to Colorado's web team in less than an hour, and on the day of University's press conference they had all hands on deck to deliver flawless back-end execution for its team and awesome customer support to its fans who were watching the live stream of the press conference.
In April 2010, NeuLion announced to enter a partnership with Arab Radio and Television Network, or 'ART', an Arabic language television network in the Middle East for distribution of ART channels using NeuLion's IPTV platform in Canada.
