VoiceGear Connect Platform Enables Skype Usage in Any Business Environment

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

The VoiceGear Connect platform from IndustryDynamics allows Skype to be used in any business environment. Since VoiceGear Connect platform does not involve any monthly service contracts or hidden expenses and does not require any changes to be made to existing phone systems, corporate communication expenses can be reduced by around 90 percent.

The existing customers of VoiceGear report faster return on investment, which is typically under six months. Cheap rates for international calling, free phone lines to add to PBX (News - Alert) are possible due to the usage of VoiceGear Connect. Existing customers of VoiceGear enjoy free global communication between head office and mobile employees which helps avoid roaming fees. VoiceGear connect also enables free communication between all the offices of an organization.

The VoiceGear Connect platform helps SMB and Enterprise customers cut costs and keep their operational expenses down. According to Peter Litovsky, Director of Sales and Marketing at IndustryDynamics, the company understands that cost conscious decision makers are cautious to replace expensive telephone equipment. VoiceGear helps to retain the investment in and add value to existing phone systems in order to start saving money quickly.

VoiceGear platform allows custom solution developers to offer cost saving technologies to their customers. As per an agreement with IndustryDynamics, VoIP service providers will be able to enable subscribers to call Skype (News - Alert) contacts and also accept incoming calls on their Skype accounts. VoiceGear enabled service providers can increase their Skype call capacity on demand since VoiceGear gateways can be scaled from 2 to 60 concurrent calls or stacked together to achieve a virtually unlimited call volume.

VoiceGear gateways will adapt to any PBX and also enable Skype calling on analog, digital, VoIP, or hybrid phone systems. It is possible to incorporate advanced telephony features like IVR, three-way conferencing, call forwarding and call transfer into Skype calling. The advanced Sangoma echo cancellation and noise reduction hardware from VoiceGear provides high voice quality and reliability.

By using VoiceGear Connect Enterprise gateway, a Californian university has been able to connect new student dorms with their central phone system. This has resulted in a savings of around ten thousand dollars per month since it eliminates the need for separate DIDs in each dorm room.
