IVR and Messaging Platform Combined for Broader Customer Reach

By Juliana Kenny, TMCnet Managing Editor

Intelligent Number (SM) has been launched in beta by Intercept Networks, a project between Primary Wave Media and TeleSmart Networks. It’s a combined marketing platform and IVR solution to create a single, mobile entry point for marketers to deliver content across multiple platforms to the consumer.

The proprietary Voice2SMS marketing platform for toll-free telephone numbers combines with IVR technology and a proprietary SMS short code messaging platform to provide callers with a customizable interactive voice option menu. Callers can then “opt-in” to receive short code messages delivered to their mobile devices.

Delivered across multiple platforms including SMS, MMS, Web, or voicemail, the messages are received before the call is ended and can include coupons, mobile apps, or promotion codes. Gregg Hamerschlag, CEO of Primary Wave Media, stated, “The combination of Voice2SMS technology with a toll-free, vanity telephone number completes a 360-degree communications circle between the brand and the consumer.”

The software can be added to existing toll-free telephone marketing platforms which eliminates the need for the consumer to adopt foreign dialing practices or download new technologies. The technology also allows brands to build mobile databases of existing and potential customers to broaden customer bases. Target (News - Alert) customers can then receive individualized mobile messages.

Hamerschlag continued, “We've seen firsthand how well consumers retain and react to toll-free, telephone numbers, establishing a direct-to-consumer connection for the brand. By pairing these numbers with the technology to continue the authentic consumer dialogue, brands are now afforded a channel to interact directly with their most engaged and loyal customers.”
