Just this week, Yap (News - Alert), a provider of a cloud-based speech recognition platform expanded the platform to now include MetroPCS Spanish language voicemail to text service.
As Spanish is currently the most widely used language, spoken by over third of the population in both California and Texas and an astounding 35 million people in the United States, Yap quickly realized that the company needed to use its speech recognition technology to power this language.
MetroPCS’ Spanish language Voice Mail to Text service has allowed for millions of MetroPCS customers to simply read Spanish translated voicemail messages.
“Spanish language support is a natural evolution for Yap,” said Marcello Typrin, vice president of products, Yap in a press release. “There is a tremendous market opportunity for transcribing Spanish voicemails into text, and Yap’s platform provides the necessary high accuracy and fast turn-around time.”
