Nuance Communications (News - Alert) Inc., provider of voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers located around the world, has announced that by leveraging its Voicemail-to-Text service, customers of Cox (News - Alert) Wireless can easily read transcribed voice messages delivered to their mobile phones through an SMS text from anywhere and at anytime.

In a release, Kelly Williams, vice president of Cox Wireless products and operations said that, “Voicemail-to-Text is yet another way we are able to enhance our customers mobile experience and simplify their communications.”

Nuance’s Voicemail-to-Text service has been developed to provide improved flexibility in mobile communications to its users. The service quickly and effectively transcribes any incoming voicemails into SMS text messages which are then delivered directly to a user’s mobile phone. The transcribed messages come with an easy one-click link access to allow users to respond to the messages either by calling back or by sending an SMS text message. Furthermore, Nuance's Voicemail-to-Text service allows users to forward and save the SMS text message which eliminates the need to write down messages which can otherwise be easily misplaced.

John Pollard, vice president and general manager of voice-to-text services at Nuance said that, “Nuance’s Voicemail-to-Text service continues to experience significant traction in North America and around the world because consumers love the simplicity of receiving transcribed messages right to their phones. And with innovative operators making voicemail-to-text a part of their offerings, even more consumers are able to change the way they stay connected.”

Nuance’s voice-to-text platform, has been designed around the speech technology of the Dragon NaturallySpeaking dictation software which makes delivering of innovative services easy for the company's partners. Nuance's partner companies can now offer complete calls and improve customer satisfaction which enables them to effectively meet their organizational goals.
