eScription, one of the leading solutions for clinical documentation from Nuance (News - Alert) Communications has been honored with a Best in KLAS award.
This milestone places this solution as number one within the speech recognition category for the eighth consecutive year.
Nuance Healthcare, a division of Nuance Communications (News - Alert), specializes in providing clinical understanding solutions that accurately capture and transform the patient story into meaningful, actionable information.
Its eScription is renowned for its unprecedented ability to help healthcare organizations achieve cost savings.
This has been a year of achievement for Nuance Healthcare as its portfolio holds multiple top-ranked positions within the 2011 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services report including Dragon Medical Practice Edition and PowerScribe 360 Reporting.
Nuance notes that the annual KLAS ranking has been derived solely from healthcare information technology (HIT) customer feedback, and determined from product evaluations, confidential interviews and analysis of performance data between November 2010 and November 2011.
"The market's recognition of Nuance's leadership in voice recognition is validation of the technology foundation and customer service excellence that Nuance is committed to delivering in healthcare," said Janet Dillione, executive vice president and general manager, Nuance Healthcare. "Through the delivery of our proven and new voice-driven solutions, we're working with more than 10,000 healthcare organizations globally to optimize the capture of high-quality clinical data. Clinical documentation is one of the most undervalued resources that we have in healthcare and when it is built from rich, accurate information there is tremendous opportunity to extend its value."
KLAS is a research firm specializing in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors.
"Since 1998, KLAS has been committed to helping healthcare providers make decisions based on candid peer feedback," says Adam Gale, KLAS president. "Best in KLAS rankings mark those vendors who best keep their promises in their market segments for offering a combination of superior products, strong service, and high customer value. We hope these ratings continue to help providers find transparency from their vendors in making purchasing decisions."
