Speech Technology Excellence Award Given to Varolii

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

For the second consecutive year, Varolii Corporation (News - Alert), a major player in proactive customer interaction management, has won the Customer Interaction Solutions 2011 Speech Technology Excellence Award, for its Progressive Engagement suite.

Varolii’s Progressive Engagement suite is a Software-as-a-Service solution that helps healthcare organizations enroll patients and members into healthcare programs and effectively engage them to influence behaviors and positively impact health outcomes.

Healthcare organizations, with digital voice, text and email communications, have shown increased enrollment rates, and have also been able to minimize many of the associated costs of traditional communications methods.

In a release, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO at TMC, said, "Varolii has demonstrated to the editors of Customer Interaction Solutions that its product is both innovative and a leader in the speech technology industry. Varolii's Progressive Engagement suite has proven its superior capabilities and has ultimately improved the bottom line for its customers."

Progressive Engagement suite also helps healthcare organizations to monitor existing patients' health conditions and medications to guarantee that they are following prescribed treatment routines and remind patients of upcoming appointments, including the option to reschedule.

"Winning this award for two consecutive years validates Varolii's commitment to helping businesses improve customer and patient interactions," said Andrea Austin, vice president of healthcare business at Varolii. "The single largest cause of preventable morbidity is lack of patient adherence to prescribed therapies and recommended self-care. Varolii's Progressive Engagement suite helps healthcare organizations reduce costs while improving patient and member adherence through highly tailored voice communications. Voice interaction is the most pervasive channel for reaching all patients and members and most persuasive in getting them to take action."

In related news, Varolii has achieved the 2011 North American Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) Award for Market Share Leadership for its work with hosted outbound contact centers.
