Vangard Voice in Pact with BellHawk Systems to Offer Voice-Directed Productivity Tools
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
Vangard Voice Systems, in partnership with BellHawk Systems Corporation (BellHawk), is offering voice-directed productivity enhancements to cloud-based warehouse, manufacturing and supply chain management solutions.
BellHawk's combination of web-mobile barcode and RFID operations tracking technology with Vangard's completely mobile and cloud-compliant voice solution will offer hands-free voice productivity to mid-sized industrial organizations such as manufacturers and food processors.
The voice-directed productivity solutions for receiving, picking and materials movement are known to make these processes earlier and more quickly. Though the industry has realized the benefits of these solutions, they find that systems designed for retail warehouses are cost prohibitive and fail to meet the unique requirements of industrial manufacturing and business processes.
According to Bob Bova, President and CEO of Vangard Voice Systems, Vangard's innovative mobile voice solution completely avoids the IT server, delivering seamless integration and complete voice functionality to any industry mobile application, solely on and from the mobile device.
“Now any-size company can affordably and practically voice-upgrade their manufacturing applications with high performance cloud-based BellHawk Systems solutions, further powering their workforce with high productivity voice capabilities," Bova said.
The new BellHawk-Vangard system leverages Vangard’s voice solution to optimize features of the BellHawk industrial WMS/MES system, according to Peter Green, president of BellHawk Systems Corporation.
"BellHawk's combination of web-mobile barcode and RFID operations tracking technology with Vangard's flexible device-based voice productivity solution can enable manufacturing workforces to employ voice commands to speed their production and distribution processes while increasing accuracy," Green added.
Vangard technology easily fits in to BellHawk’s cloud-based technology. It also supports multi-lingual operation, so the BellHawk-Vangard solution can extend supply chain tracking and KanBan replenishment to suppliers in China and elsewhere in Asia. The BellHawk technology works with all leading ERP systems, so it enables the company to add voice directed data collection for those systems.
Vangard recently announced its mobile device-resident, completely ‘server-less’ AccuSpeech Mobile Universal Voice Utility is the performance standard for emerging commercial cloud-based warehouse management systems (WMS).
Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) offering cloud-based warehouse management systems can also offer their small-to-medium business (SMB) customers an affordable platform for delivering instant WMS voice control capabilities for speeding distribution center processes and productivity.
