VoxSciences Direct Skype Voicemails To Email Account
By Tanya Palta, TMCnet Contributing Writer
Voxsciences recently revealed its plan to invite Skype (News - Alert) users to receive their voicemails straight to their email accounts. For the uninitiated, Voxsciences is a popular voice recognition technology solutions company deploying voice-to-text (VTT) services to both B2B and B2C audiences. Via the new Skype feature, one will be able to get a transcribed copy of their chat sessions in writing and/or email, making it the perfect tool for recording important business and personal communication.
“Listening to voicemails is time consuming and fiddly. With more and more professional and leisure users relying on Skype as a primary means of communication for both business and pleasure, this problem is exasperated. We at VoxSciences believe we provide the voicemail solution by allowing Skype users to have their voicemails transcribed and sent directly to their email address of choice” said Ken Blackman, co-founder and CEO, Voxsciences.
Voxsciences is aware of the fact that their VTT service is not necessarily revolutionary, and many other voice recognition technology solutions companies have attempted the same in the past. However, their solution is more reliable and accessible, and since the original mp3 file is also sent as an attachment, there are slim chances of making a mistake, the company explained.
To avail the voice-to-text service, one first has to set up a VoxSciences account, and then log in to view their details via the VoxSciences website and select Overview, resulting in the unique geographic number being displayed. After this, one has to configure their Skype account so that unanswered calls are forwarded to VoxSciences’ unique geographic number, which will result in VoxSciences picking up calls, and all unanswered calls and voicemails will be transcribed and sent to a chosen email address.
Additionally, VoxSciences provides a FREE voicemail–to–text iPhone app in the UK, with an Android (News - Alert) version being launched in the next few weeks.
