Genesys Acquires Woodbridge Client LM Sistemas

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Woodbridge International’s customer, LM Sistemas, based in Sao Paulo, was recently acquired by Genesys (News - Alert) Laboratorios de Telecomunicacoees Ltda of Brazil. A number of customer contact centers in Brazil utilize the custom designed IVR software developed by LM Sistemas.

In a release, Alexandre Bichir, CEO of LM Sistemas, said, "We are honored to become a part of Genesys and deliver even better products and services for our customers in Brazil, while also taking our innovations to new markets worldwide.”

The Genesys brand, which is familiar across the world, will now include LM Sistemas. At least 2,000 customers in 80 countries are offered consumer service and contact center software and services by Genesys. Apart from optimizing the processes, Genesys software is instrumental for fine-tuning the performance of employees, who are in direct touch with the customers, across the organization.

The senior M&A advisors in Woodbridge's Northern California office and Permira's team in Menlo Park, California were responsible for sealing the contract.

Advanced technology of CTI (News - Alert) is used by LM Sistemas to develop and incorporate solutions for call center automation and care systems.

Woodbridge International is a pioneering middle-market M&A organization. The organization, which was launched in 1993, is headquarters in New Haven, CT. The organization has eight offices in Northern America and also in the Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Honduras, from where it serves its customers across the globe.

Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, based in the U.S., is the parent company of the Genesys Laboratorios de Telecomunicacoees. Launched in 1990, Genesys was instrumental in bringing together customer channels in order to better serve customers. Paris-based Alcatel had acquired Genesys in 2000. The ownership of Genesys has now been transferred from Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) to a company controlled by the Permira Funds. Genesys Telecommunications is now a group organization of Permira, a private equity group with headquarters in the U.K.

Genesys employs 1,700 employees across all its offices. In association with 200 global partners, Genesys has already implemented 1.3 million seats. The organization also manages a minimum of 100 million interactions each day.
