eTask-it is a project management solution developed by eTask Technologies, the global project management software company. The solution assembles in one single online platform the benefits of project management, business process management and knowledge management.

The company has announced the release of the new version of this online project management platform eTask-it.

"Version 2.0 is a big step forward for us," said Juan Manrique, founder and chief executive officer at eTask Technologies.

Manrique also emphasized that the new version of eTask-it is the answer to the customers' needs for an integrated online project management platform with very advanced functionality but extremely user-friendly.

Key changes in eTask-it 2.0 include:

• Streamlined User Interface and workflow
• Feature rich Planning Module (critical path analysis, recurring tasks, drag and drop interface etc)
• Easier and faster creation of Blueprints and Projects
• Enhanced compliance rules management, to improve control and flexibility
• Configurable dashboard widgets
• Capacity management
• Comprehensive financial management (among others, budget control by cost center, people and materials costing)
• Advanced social collaboration features

The launch of eTask-it was reportedly aimed at curing the "reinventing-the-wheel" syndrome that affects all project-driven organizations. It is said to have been designed to optimize all projects through repetition.

The latest version has been developed to take feedback and requests from end users for additional features functionality such as budget and cost management tools – as they wanted to be able to move even more of their work within the eTask-it environment.

At the Project Challenge Show held at the Birmingham NEC from March 30-31 last year, Juan Manrique of eTask discussed how Professional Services Organizations have begun to produce services to drive quality, consistency, repeatability and aid in project governance.
