The High Tech Ministries’ 2012 Fall Serve@Work program held from September 11 - 13, 2012 offered a chance for technology business people to partner with local technology companies and serve where there is a local need.
Knowlagent, a provider of intraday management solutions for contact centers, stated that as part of the project it was instrumental in delivering a face-lift to the neighborhood thrift store, coffee shop, playground and surrounding grounds in Atlanta. Several volunteers comprising of Atlanta area technology business professionals reportedly took part in the project, and worked to finish a range of remodeling, landscaping, construction and clean-up activities in support of FCS Urban Ministries.
FCS Ministries is an Atlanta-based organization which works to create healthy, self-sustainable neighborhoods.
“By serving the community, Knowlagent employees exercise that essential muscle that solidifies our team and culture. Working alongside other high tech professionals to restore our neighborhood communities is the 'serve others before we serve ourselves' dedication that we feel transfers to our commitment to our customers as well,” stated Matt McConnell, CEO at Knowlagent.
High Tech Ministries is a not-for-profit organization encompassing high-tech professionals, friends and family from the greater Atlanta area looking to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
High Tech Ministries asserted that Knowlagent plays a critical role in the Serve@Work community projects. The organization is grateful for the hard work from everyone that helps with identifying, preparing and carrying out these service projects.
Without volunteers, Serve@Work would not be possible.
