Kronos (News - Alert) TeleStaff is an automated scheduling solution that helps public safety and utility organizations in their work. It is a part of the Kronos Workforce Central suite. Based on the company’s workforce management platform, Kronos TeleStaff enhances the scheduling, communications, and installation of public safety personnel.

Recently, the company introduced the upgraded version of Kronos TeleStaff. The latest version allows users to comply better with the regulations, reduce employee costs, and enhance workforce productivity, the company stated.

Kronos TeleStaff can now be used with Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL server. Users can now have access to a database that can support complicated and increasing scheduling environments by deploying the progressive Microsoft technology in TeleStaff. According to the company, the new version also improves performance and scalability.

While each group’s people and staffing data can be kept separate, two or more entities can be there in a single database. Now, employees can also see and administer the status of their bids with the help of new bidding statuses.

Greg Ekstrom, vice president and general manager, Kronos TeleStaff Solutions Group, said, “TeleStaff 2.8 is centered on innovative features that enhance access to actionable data. With this version, IT teams across local, state, and federal public safety organizations will have access to the most widely deployed database platform, Microsoft SQL server. And also very importantly, managers and end users will be able to leverage functionality that makes staffing, resource management, and work tasks even easier to handle.”

Recently, the company announced that Genpact, a provider of business process and technology management solutions, chose Kronos solutions to improve efficiencies at the workplace and reduce expenses. According to the agreement, Knonos Incorporated has integrated to Genpact's installation of an Oracle (News - Alert) HR and payroll system to provide seamless administration of employee data.
