Backbase has announced that the company has secured an improved positioning in Gartner’s (News
- Alert) Visionary Quadrant for Horizontal Portals. The company has earned this positioning as it focuses mainly on user experience and delivering a lean portal.
While traditional IT portal vendors provide an outdated and complicated solutions, Backbase has created a modern business-driven solution simplifies portal management for e-business professionals.
It also allows the users to change their portal quickly and simply, whenever and however they like. Apart from targeting customer segments or individual users with personalized promotions, they can also add functionality (widgets/ mini apps), update content and forms within the page editor they can create pages, the company has stated.
Backbase is one of the first portal-less portal vendors and it assists companies in upgrading their online channel to cater to customers web 2.0 expectations. On top of underlying IT infrastructure and systems, the company offers a new, user experience layer.
