NTT (News - Alert) Communications, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Group, recently announced a partnership agreement with FirstBIT, a Russian provider of enterprise reporting and Business Intelligence solutions providers.

NTT will now be able to deliver solutions based on FirstBIT's 1C Enterprise and QlikView Business Discovery platform, helping NTT to solidify its base in Russia.

The 1C:Enterprise system consists of two parts – an integrated framework (1C:Enterprise 8 platform) and an application software developed in the framework. The platform and the application software together comprise a business application with which end-users usually interact.

The platform itself is not software for end-users, thought it's always supplied as part of any business application.

On the other hand, QlikView is a Business Discovery platform developed by QlikTech – a Business Intelligence Provider. QlikView is a flexible and highly-scalable BI solution for turning data into valuable knowledge, easily and with one-click access. QlikView increases profitability and ROI with state-of-the-art BI technologies, which go along with simplicity and extremely fast deployment; most QlikView customers are live in less than one month.

First BIT is an authorized QlikView Solution Provider.

Tetsuo Sano, general director of NTT Communications (News - Alert) Russia, said in a statement, "This partnership faces a great future.
