Wolters Kluwer Selects Brightidea Social Lead Management Software

Wolters Kluwer, a multi-billion dollar global information services and publishing company, is expanding its Brightidea-powered innovation program to its law & business division.

Brightidea software is a complete end-to-end solution designed exclusively for the sourcing and development of ideas to fuel continuous innovation.

Officials with Brightidea said that Wolters Kluwer uses the company’s software to manage, facilitate and optimize its core innovation processes to more effectively develop products and services that meet evolving customer needs.

Company officials said that Wolters Kluwer first began using Brightidea software over two years ago with its CCH (News - Alert) business division to facilitate continuous process improvements and enhance products.


"We needed a solution that crowdsources ideas from our globally disbursed employees and starts a workflow that leads to execution, thus we chose Brightidea," Bo Brown, technical lead at Wolters Kluwer, in a statement.

According to company officials, the program is currently being rolled out to its law & business division, a leading provider of research products and software solutions in key specialty areas for legal and business professionals.

A recent campaign aimed at providing mobile solutions netted dozens of ideas with several moving forward to the next stage of development.

A full launch will be announced soon to the division by President and CEO Mark Dorman emphasizing the importance of innovation to spur employee engagement.

Recently, Innovation Sponsor John DeFeo, Executive Director of Product Development, revealed an innovation strategy shaping Wolters Kluwer activities.

"Tools like Brightidea are helping to focus our efforts on innovation and on those key initiatives that will drive our growth and position us as a trusted and valued partner to our customers," said DeFeo.

According to company officials, Brightidea software enables Wolters Kluwer to do far more than simply collect and collaborate around ideas.
