Miami law firm delancyhill has said that six months after Invizio’s Information Technology (IT) overhaul of the organization using an integrated cloud infrastructure, it’s on track to saving approximately $63,000 in annual operational expenditures.
Using current technologies, Invizio created a virtual IT environment, allowing delancyhill access to data and key operational applications from anywhere in the world or locally from the firm’s three satellite offices.
“When we relocated our firm into three office locations, we knew we needed an IT advisor who understood what it meant to be virtual,” said Marlon Hill, partner at delancyhill.
Hill said that Invizio stepped right in to develop a cloud infrastructure that provided their staff with access to the data and applications that are key to the firm’s operations from anywhere in the world.
Invizio facilitated the law firm’s smooth transition to virtual offices. Moreover, it also consulted on the business process changes that the firm instituted to effectively go into the cloud.
With the deployment of document management software, the company claims that its work flow has improved. In addition, the software is reducing paper waste and the staff can now more readily locate case files and other important documents.
Proactively, Invizio monitors the law firm’s entire virtual IT environment. Thanks to this, firm’s partners can now focus on growing business and servicing clients.
Invizio’s officials said that cloud technology works well for professional service firms, especially those who have a distributed workforce, that employ telecommuters, or wish to operate without the boundaries of physical office space.
The deployment of Cloud solutions enable companies to cut down on capital investments in the software and hardware of an IT infrastructure. In addition, it also allows firms to scale incrementally and purchase systems in a pay-as-you-go fashion, said company officials.
Kevin Michael, managing partner at Invizio, said that once a firm’s data and applications are hosted in the cloud, the organization can recover quickly in the wake of a hurricane, or other natural disaster, and continue to service clients and access important case files even from a temporary office set-up.
“Invizio’s partnership with delancyhill has resulted in a reliable virtual infrastructure that will allow the law firm to operate in just such a scenario,” Michael said.
