Business Intelligence Associates, Inc. recently announced an updated notification functionality to further enhance TotalDiscovery – its cloud-based eDiscovery solution. All users can leverage the feature, available on the Notifications tab of the Account Information screen.
Configuration of status updates can also be carried out to deliver greater control over specific aspects of the eDiscovery process.
"One of the problems with the way eDiscovery projects are managed today is that most solutions require the person responsible for managing the process to call their vendor or login to a system to get status updates about what's going on, thus forcing the legal department to baby-sit the process in a manual way,” Zachary Drummond, BIA senior vice president of Product Development, said in a statement. “We've solved that with our Notification features and have now expanded that power with this new round of updates – now everyone involved in supporting the preservation and eDiscovery processes will have information critical to their function, automatically delivered right to them."
In particular, special notifications can be used by those users who are responsible for managing the eDiscovery process in their organizations and need a quick synopsis of their progress covering aspects, such as the number of employees who have acknowledged legal hold notices, and the secure compilation of data and other progress statistics associated with critical processes in the application.
The newly introduced feature is now available with the Legal Hold Reminder features, which help in ensuring greater legal compliance by employees.
New users can directly create accounts on the site via a registration process which takes only a few simple clicks. Once this is done, the user can then begin issuing legal hold notices without any need for hardware or software purchase or installation.
As soon as employees are placed on legal hold, the enhanced capabilities of the TotalDiscovery solution allow quick and easy data analysis and compilation.
Administrators can quickly gather corporate data from network resources, laptops, social media and cloud applications such as Facebook (News - Alert) and Salesforce.com via a few clicks. This data can then be analyzed, filtered and exported to various popularly used legal document review platforms.
