MacroSolve Files Suit against Redbox Automated Retail, LLC

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

MacroSolve has filed a patent infringement suit against Redbox Automated Retail, LLC. According to MacroSolve, this suit pertains to the violation of MacroSolve's U.S. Patent No. 7,822,816.

With this patent, the company delivers DecisionPoint Systems Inc., providing a complete range of mobile solutions that channelize operations, capture incremental revenue and enhance the customer experience.

To simplify the installation process and provide immediate financial and operational improvements, Decision Point makes use of expert project management services and superior support.

U.S. Patent No. 7,822,816 was issued to MacroSolve on October 26, 2010 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The patent, a considerable intellectual property asset to MacroSolve, further improves its strength as a major provider in the mobile solutions market.

For more than 30 years, the company has been offering solutions that make use of the advanced mobility and RFID technologies, custom or off-the-shelf software and essential hardware.

The company integrates this with expert project management services and improved support to simplify the installation process and offer immediate financial and operational improvements.

“The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded this patent to the Company on October 26, 2010 and extended our rights to defend the intellectual property through 2025. We fully intend to maximize shareholder benefits as we license infringers for the remaining thirteen years," stated Jim McGill, MacroSolve Chairman and CEO.

Recently, the company executed a letter of intent with MEDL Mobile, Inc. According to the company, this letter offers the ability to monetize the mobile patent. Performing specific functions for the user on Apple (News - Alert) and Android platforms, MEDL Mobile develops, acquires and publishes a growing library of mobile applications.

Apart from performing custom development for important customers such as Monster.com, New York Times Company, Teleflora, Telefonica (News - Alert) and Medtronic, the company also licenses its technology for a variety of purposes.
