There has been a variety of news in the Live Chat space this week including all types of brand new live chat and instant messaging applications, especially for users on-the-go.
This week, Nimbuzz, who has been collaborating with Nokia (News - Alert), has introduced the free Nimbuzz Messenger app will now be available for all Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone (News - Alert) smartphones. Nimbuzz Messenger provides users with free SMS messaging and group instant messaging, supports picture sharing, and more.
Nimbuzz is a provider of free PC to mobile calling solutions and has one of the fastest-growing mobile instant messaging applications. The mobile messenger app, which has been successful with Nokia Store users, will be extended to all Nokia Lumia consumers, through the Windows Phone Marketplace. Leveraging the new free messenger app, users will be able to chat on Facebook (News - Alert), Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, and even on Live Messenger (MSN), at no charge.

In other Live Chat news, Comm100 has launched the Comm100 Live Chat for iPad, the latest app from Comm100 that has been designed to support Comm100 Live Chat over iPad devices of users on-the-go. The iPad app provides live chat features such as real-time visitor monitoring and tracking, enabling multiple concurrent chats, sending proactive chat invitations, canned response, as well as inter-operator transfer among other leading features.
The company first launched the Comm100 Live Chat in August 2009. Since then, the tool has been downloaded and is being used by more than 100,000 businesses across the globe. The Comm100 Live Chat for iPad app, specifically designed for the iPad device, runs in the background and sends alerts to the user about any new incoming message from a website visitor.

Lastly, Hinduja Global Solution in the United Kingdom (HGS UK), a provider customer relationship management (CRM) for businesses, consistently meets and exceeds client expectations. Recently, HGS UK commissioned Synthetix, a provider of multichannel customer service software, to build a Web-based customer service – a live chat transactional Web chat support system for the U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) to handle passport enquiries. This customer service project makes uses the Synthetix liveChat software, a Synthetix knowledge base software for call centers that allows customers to have a one-to-one dialogue with one of FCO call-center agents.
Synthetix liveChat works as a paid-for live chat service. Customers will be able to connect directly with FCO call-center agents through a Web browser and once they follow the on-screen instructions to purchase their web chat pin number (the fee is £3; three British pounds sterling = 4.74 US dollars); and when they decide to enter a live Web chat session with FCO, all that is required is for the customer to enter a PIN.
