GM Voices recently announced that it will be collaborating with LumenVox (News - Alert) over the development of an e-commerce website for LumenVox customers. The custom-branded web marketplace will enable users to maintain uniformity in voice caller experience for Automated Speech Recognizer (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS) as well as their Speech Tuner tools.
In a statement, Marcus Graham (News - Alert), CEO of GM Voices, said that, “LumenVox offers some of the best speech automation solutions in the marketplace, and with GM Voices supporting their ASR and TTS offerings; they’ll sound crisp and professional on every call. We look forward to supporting the LumenVox sales team, and, of course, their customers in implementing a professional-sounding Voice Brand.”
Although having considerable experience in the area of voice automation, both companies decided to enter into a formal partner arrangement post the launch of LumenVox's TTS within GM Voices’ (News - Alert) matching voices. The LumenVox sales team was provided with specially-recorded audio demonstrations, vital to business acquisition, by GM Voices.
LumenVox CEO, Dave Rich said that, “GM Voices’ customized prompt recordings and LumenVox’s technologies make for the most natural-sounding speech interface for any IVR developer. Now any speech developer can have affordable, best-in-breed solutions for their applications.”
The voice prompt e-commerce portal which will be developed jointly by both companies will make it easy for LumenVox TTS customers to quickly order natural-voice recordings that match their system. The portal will feature an easy-to-use Web interface that allows customers to select their voice, enter, and/or upload a script. Users will also be provided with greeting messages as well as call routing or voicemail navigation, and error prompts.
The voice used in a TTS system is based on the vocal sounds produced by an actual voice actor in the recording studio. GM Voices provides similar voice actors to ensure a more natural performance thereby ensuring that the generated TTS response is similar to a real person.
