Mercuria Energy Group, one of the world's largest energy trading firms, recently chose Solace's Unified Messaging Platform as the foundation of its worldwide trading system.
Inside its data centers and over the wide area network connecting them, Mercuria makes use of Solace's appliances to enhance information flow.
Solace System’s unified API makes Solace’s high-performance messaging solution a one-stop shop for all of the data distribution requirements of the customer. It offers dependable and uniform client access to all of Solace’s features, which consists of reliable, ultra-low-latency and guaranteed messaging, WAN optimization, content and geospatial routing, IPC (News - Alert) messaging and message caching.
Conventionally, trading platforms have included a guaranteed messaging platform for transactions such as orders and trade confirmations and a separate and dependable messaging platform for market data delivery.
Mercuria is a privately-owned group of companies active over a wide spectrum of global energy markets.
Apart from getting features such as WAN optimization, high availability, business continuity and advanced application monitoring, Mercuria will also get a turnkey appliance that includes dependable and guaranteed messaging functionality to meet both of those needs.
“Mercuria has quickly risen to be a leader in their field by focusing on where they can differentiate, and being the best in the world at what they do," said Craig Betts, CEO at Solace Systems (News - Alert). "We are very happy to be working with Mercuria to further improve their energy trading infrastructure.”
In 2011, the company partnered with SEEBURGER, a provider of business integration and secure managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, to introduce a solution that has been created for high-speed business-to-business (B2B) and MFT messaging. The new solution integrates Solace's messaging middleware appliance deployment solutions with SEEBURGER's award-winning business integration platform.
The integration provides an enhanced transaction throughput of 10 to 100 times over third-party software message buses.
