As a vital link in the technology value chain, Ingram Micro (News - Alert), a single source distributor, creates sales and profitability opportunities for vendors and resellers – prompting ClearOne, a global provider of audio visual communication solutions, to enter into a distribution agreement with it.
Ingram Micro will be responsible for the distribution of ClearOne's (News - Alert) new line of software-based video conferencing solutions and conference phones to authorized technology resellers in the United States, noted company officials.
Considered the only global broad-based IT distributor, serving 145 countries on six continents with the world's most comprehensive portfolio of IT products and services, Ingram Micro will now add ClearOne solutions to its growing portfolio of audio and video offerings.
ClearOne's complete audio-visual collaboration solutions, which include the new COLLABORATE software-based video conferencing solutions and the company's CHAT and MAX voice applications, will hence be available for distribution.
"As the IT / AV industries continue to converge, Ingram Micro is well positioned to help us identify new business opportunities and drive greater growth within the U.S. reseller community," said Chris Wildfoerster (News - Alert), vice president of sales unified communications (UC) at ClearOne.
Channel partners will have access to a complete suite of complementary solutions and services based on ClearOne's legacy audio processing quality, as well as expertise and reach within vertical markets.
The distribution agreement is a testament to Ingram Micro's continued commitment to invest in technology, support and resources that channel partners require to build and grow a successful unified communication, noted company officials.
ClearOne, a provider of audio and video solutions for conferencing, collaboration and multimedia streaming, has launched its first UC headsets as a step toward expanding its popular line of UC products, and claims to have around 50 percent of the global market share within the professional audio conferencing arena.
