Looking to manage its growing business, Openwave (News - Alert) Messaging recently appointed two executives, Tracy Allard and Farooq Ali. While Tracy Allard will serve as the vice president of Worldwide Sales, Farooq Ali will take charge as senior vice president of Products.

Tracy Allard has 25 years of industry experience and has worked in the Telco and industrial markets. She will look after the development and implementation of sales strategies of the company.

Allard is an expert in sales operations, contract and commercial negotiations.

Farooq Ali is a technology evangelist and has more than 20 years of expertise in this field. He will take charge as SVP of Products. In his new role, Ali will oversee the company’s product lifecycle, the company has stated.

Recently, the company sold its Mediation and Messaging product businesses to Marlin Equity Partners. The company signed a definitive agreement in an effort to sell to Marline Equity Partners by the end of April 2012.
