Advantech and Stinova Become Partners

Advantech (News - Alert), the embedded platform and integration services leader, recently entered a partnership agreement with Stinova, a leading software manufacturer of Digital Signage software platforms. The companies are together working to come up with a versatile joint digital signage solution which will target multiple markets including digital signage, self-service kiosks and other graphics-centric applications.

The digital signage media player ARK-DS520 is based on Advantech’s ION2 and is powered by an Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor with integrated NVIDIA (News - Alert) GT218 (ION2) graphic module for full high-definition (Full HD) playback. The product has already been successfully tested and certified by Stinova, and will be presented by Advantech and Stinova at Viscom Dusseldorf from October13-15.

”With Stinova we have a software partner that can offer lifetime licenses as well as SaaS (News - Alert)  including content services which offers flexibility to the customers. Stinova’s partners will be able to order our hardware with a pre-installed image of the Stinova player software for Windows and Linux so that it’s ready for installation upon delivery,” said Bas Smeets, Advantech’s Business Development Manager for Intelligent Services, in a statement.

“We are excited about the strategic alliance with Advantech on a global scale,” said Franz Hintermayr, CEO of Stinova. ”The ARK-DS520 can be a very cost efficient and robust play-out engine that can be managed with our user-friendly and highly scalable Digital Signage software platform.”
