Rentrak (News - Alert) has announced the top ten movie-on-demand titles based on consumer transaction rate.
The top most position is occupied by Fox Studos Rio, according to Rentrak’s OnDemand Essentials service, the top ten most-viewed titles, per data collected from August 8, 2011 through August 14, 2011.
OnDemand Essentials is a service of Rentrak's Advanced Media & Information Division providing operators, content providers (including broadcast/cable networks, studios) and advertisers with a transactional tracking and reporting system to view and analyze on-demand content.
Rentrak is a global digital media measurement and research company, which serves the most recognizable companies in the entertainment industry. The company notes that movies-on-demand are transactional (pay-per-purchase) films available through cable and telco providers.
The second and third position in this chart is taken by Soul Surfer and Jumping The Broom, both from Sony studios.
Fourth, fifth and sixth position is taken by Paul (Universal Studios), Your highness (Universal Studios) and Limitless (Relativity) respectively.
Rango by Paramount Studios is at the seventh position, The Lincoln Lawyer by Lionsgate is at the eighth position and Hall Pass from Warner Bros is at the ninth position.
