ACTi ACM and TCM Series Cube Cameras Certified for Use with Intransa VideoAppliance

By Sujata Garud, TMCnet Contributor

ACTi Corporation, the technology leader in IP Surveillance, announced that its ACM and TCM series Cube Cameras are select certified for use with Intransa's VideoAppliance and VDMR Appliance product families. Intransa is a VideoAppliance Company.

In a press release today, Peter Wu, manager, Software Solution Group, ACTi Corporation, said, “Our ACM and TCM cube cameras offer easy installation and setup with two-way audio, video motion detection and a built in passive IR sensor in the systems. Having ACTi cameras pretested and certified with Intransa's VideoAppliance and VDMR product families will simplify complexity, and reduce the time and cost of deploying cameras for security integrators and practitioners.”

With a goal to provide physical security deployments, the Intransa VideoAppliance family is designed to deliver installer-ready IP physical security right out of the box whereas the Intransa VDMR Appliance is designed for IT enterprise security deployments. Each product is installer ready and includes an advanced USB media kit with the customer's choice of video surveillance, access control, video analytics and other certified applications, ready to be activated and running in just minutes. The Intransa appliance families eliminate the risk of these untested servers and storage, and cut a customer's electrical, heating, cooling and overall equipment needs, all combining for significant initial and ongoing savings.

Alex Doorduyn, director, product management, Intransa, said, “We are extremely pleased to be able to certify ACTi's IP cameras with both our Intransa VideoAppliance and VDMR product families, and expect our customers to be similarly excited to have a certified market-leading camera choice available for risk free integration.”

Intransa will demonstrate its VideoAppliance and VDMR Appliance families in booth #1069 at ASIS Orlando, September 19-22, 2011.

Intransa was in news recently when the company launched its VA1020 Server/Storage Appliance which can be employed in a standalone capacity or for multiple site applications. Intransa's VideoAppliance 1020 series (VA1020) incorporates advanced IT hardware power and cost-effective capabilities to provide customers with improved video surveillance, enhanced access control, video analytic software functionality and physical security information management (PSIM) software.
