- Alert), Inc, the intelligent policy enforcement company, has been awarded a $3 million follow-on order from a Tier-1 US MSO. The follow-on order represents an expanded deployment of Procera's PacketLogic solution set across more geographies for this service provider.
In a release, Cam Cullen, Vice President of Global Marketing at Procera, said, "Early use of Procera's new PacketLogic Report Studio analytics and business intelligence software is helping this provider with advanced service planning as they expand."
The customer has been monitoring Netflix and streaming video. With the information provided by PacketLogic Report Studio, now they are also actively managing capacity and capabilities.
Procera is also helping the customer in their IPv6 deployment by providing new analytics and data feeds into existing security solutions to save the operator on CAPEX for new IPv6-capable solutions in existing routers.
"Procera's granular, business-ready intelligence reporting is critical to the operator's service planning and introduction of new service offerings," said David Ahee, Procera's Vice President of Sales Americas. "Their ability to extract detailed business intelligence, to run a variety of scenarios to design, and to deliver new pricing models and offerings with assurance and confidence is a growing necessity and something of a 'holy grail' for the industry."
"The ability to rapidly produce custom reports that provide data and guidance on which to base traffic engineering and congestion management decisions is very powerful for our customers," added Cullen. "We see growing demand for IPv6 intelligence and adoption from existing and new users as they look to take an even more proactive approach to network management."
