Those users who prefer to watch all their entertainment online –from TV to sporting events to concerts –just got their wish as live streaming coverage provider KenCast (News - Alert) will be broadcasting the 2012 Dan Finn Classic Basketball Charity Tournament live online on Jan. 14 using its Vazzt Service.

To view the event, which is taking place at the Jersey City Armory in New Jersey, viewers can pay a $10 access fee to watch any or all of the six tournament games transmitted live on the Web via KenCast’s Vazzt Internet Cloud Service.

“The Dan Finn Classic is a wonderful event produced annually by a charitable organization with clear focus and accomplishments applauded by many,” KenCast CEO Bill Steele said. “We are proud to carry this event online for them, not only for the enjoyment of their school communities and their families, but to showcase these talented young players to the colleges and universities that may someday benefit from their skills, and also help raise money for this great organization.”

Those that wish to watch the event must register with an email address and password via the Dan Finn website to get full access. The charity event game begins at 11 a.m. EST and continues through the evening.

By enlisting the help of its Vazzt Services Video On-the-Move Pro System, KenCast is able to broadcast the games live on its Vazzt.com website for viewing on any device (laptop, iPad, phone, etc.), as well as record the games. Thanks to its Pro System’s IBIS device, live video capture can be displayed at a high resolution (1080i). The IBIS is currently being used by leading TV networks and military for event coverage worldwide, according to company officials.

The live streaming coverage will also include live interviews with star players. Among the 35 participating Division 1 athletes are future UCLA Bruin Kyle Anderson, coached by St. Anthony’s High Schools’ Bob Hurley. Other star players include national sophomore of the Year Aquille Carr of Baltimore, Md.

Those who view the event online or attend in person will be demonstrating their support for the top high school basketball players in the U.S. and Canada as well as supporting a longstanding tradition for the Finn family in remembrance of their son Dan Finn, according to KenCast officials.
