Milestone Systems' XProtect Mobile Enables Effective Monitoring of XProtect Video

The company explained that XProtect products are open platform IP video management software. The new solution enables professionals to view the Milestone XProtect video from anywhere on an Android (News - Alert) smartphone or tablet with the new XProtect Mobile. The solution is available to users for free in the Android market and is compatible with all recent XProtect VMS products.

With instantaneous access to one’s XProtect surveillance system from almost anywhere around the globe via wireless, 3G or 4G connections, the new XProtect Mobile allows to view incidents, ensure areas are secure and take immediate action. It also provides constant accessibility to view live or playback video from cameras from multiple servers, helping you see what’s important to users.

Some of the features of the XProtect Mobile are: view live video from one or multiple cameras; play back video recordings; digital pinch to zoom; control PTZ cameras; set up multiple servers and connect to cameras from different sites; take a snapshot of video and share it via MMS and email; and more.
