Metalogix Updates Its Advantage Partner Program
By Casey Houser
Metalogix, a developer of software that helps businesses migrate their content to Microsoft (News - Alert) SharePoint and Office 365 in the cloud, announced this week that it has added new features to its Metalogix Advantage Partner Program. The headline of these updates is the new “business-in-a-box” that offers businesses access to software and documents that will help them complete their own migrations without hassle.
Joe Sullivan, the director of system integrators and cloud alliances at Metalogix, said his company’s partner program means to help businesses become successful in their use of Microsoft products. It begins by offering access to the Content Matrix data migration software and backs up that access by offering a path to other company-supported migration programs such as its FastTrack for Office 365 and its joint program with Microsoft to migrate from on-premise SharePoint to the cloud.
“Metalogix has differentiated itself in building a world-class Advantage Partner Program from the ground-up with a laser-like focus on not just providing, but exceeding the necessary levels of resources and support to ensure our partners’ monumental success across the Microsoft ecosystem,” Sullivan said.
Content Matrix tries to make it easy to migrate data. It contains a number of templates such as a statement of work and project plan that can get businesses started in the right direction. Samples of migration code and scripts can help clients’ developers tailor Content Matrix to their own needs during the planning process. Once migration has begun, those same admins can also use the Metalogix software to control their data permissions and assure that the entire business, no matter its size or number of departments, can comply with security protocols and industry regulations regarding access to information.
Metalogix makes use of a Microsoft API to give clients the power to skip incremental migration to SharePoint 2013 or any other version; they can simply step right from their current version of SharePoint to an up-to-date cloud-based version of that same program or Office 365. Some clients, however, may find that Content Matrix does not fill all their needs. They can also choose from FastTrack, which gives clients a way to handle the transfer of more than 150 seats of data to Office 365. Or they can pick the joint migration effort from Metalogix and Microsoft Consulting Services, which opens the way from SharePoint to Office 365 or SharePoint Online.
In total, the additions to the Advantage Partner Program will intend to lead the migration industry and push Metalogix to the head of the class. Partners already speak the praises of Metalogix’s migration capabilities; now they may find even more reasons to do so.
