Comings & Goings: Christopher Martini Brings Expertise to VOSS VP Position
By Alicia Young
VOSS (News - Alert) Solutions is a business communications operations management (BCOM) solution that automates and simplifies the challenge of managing communications environments. One such environment is Skype (News - Alert) for Business. In a move to take advantage of the Skype for Business market’s growth, VOSS has appointed Christopher Martini as Vice President of Skype for Business.
Martini is well-qualified for the job, as he comes to the position with over 20 years of experience in communications technology with a focus on the Microsoft (News - Alert) stack and ecosystem. He has spent years as a Microsoft employee, so he can offer VOSS a unique perspective on Skype for Business. In fact, prior to his joining VOSS, Martini was VP of Skype for Business at Connect Solutions. Based on his experience, which largest focuses on the Microsoft product, it appears as though there is no one better suited for the job.
Mike Frayne, CEO at VOSS, commented on the decision to hire Martini by saying, “VOSS-4-UC has a long history of managing Cisco (News - Alert) UC applications and services. However, our customers are increasingly deploying VOSS-4-UC to manage hybrid Cisco and Microsoft UC environments. This is why we have taken the decision to hire Christopher to lead us in this space.”
Martini added; “Skype for Business is such an exciting market right now, and Skype for Business technology has the potential to interoperate very well with Cisco UC. Over the last several years as I have spoken with more and more enterprise customers, one thing has been tremendously clear: getting the most out of your UC investment, especially for large enterprises taking a multi-vendor or hybrid deployment approach, still presents tremendous challenges. The new offerings from VOSS in this space are the most exciting in the industry. I’m looking forward to working with VOSS customers and partners to help them get the most out of this critical investment.”
Based on both of their comments, I think it’s safe to say that VOSS will have a bright future when it comes to Skype for Business.
