Lync Migration Week in Review: Sonus, Cisco, Sennheiser, & More

There’s a lot of exciting news to be found on the Lync Migration site this week. This week was all about coming together and improving upon current technologies. So if you’re interested in learning about interoperability, simplified cloud migration and everything in between, you’re in the right place. With that in mind, let’s take a look back at the past few days.

The week kicked off with the news that Veracity Networks has selected Sonus to increase network capacity. Increasing network capacity allows service providers to offer more solutions and make it available as needed without delays. This is an important subject because organizations rely on real-time access to the hosted services, applications and entertainment they pay for. Poor bandwidth means poor quality, which ultimately means angry customers—and no one wants that. That’s why Veracity Networks has chosen Sonus SBC SWe and Sonus SBC 7000. You can read about the benefits each of these solutions offer HERE.

Speaking of coming together, don’t you hate the hardships involved with incompatible platforms? It’s incredibly frustrating for users of third-party software to try to connect to Skype for Business (SfB) meetings. When platforms don’t play nice with each other, opportunities to present ideas are missed. Cisco (News - Alert) appears to have the solution to these issues, having unveiled its new Cisco Meeting Server (CMS). They’re offering a conferencing solution designed to work with numerous communication platforms, especially SfB. If this solution turns out to be as great as it sounds, you’ll never have to worry about conferencing problems again. You can find all the details on CMS HERE.

On the topic of making adjustments for Skype (News - Alert) for Business, Sennheiser headsets are newly designed to make SfB communications better. It’s no secret that clear audio is essential to effectively communicating on a phone call or video conference. With SfB becoming one of the main communication tools people use in the office space, it’s more important than ever that the software enables clear audio. Together, Sennheiser headsets and speakerphones certified for Skype for Business make it possible to work more efficiently by maximizing the UC experience. You can get all the details on this winning combo HERE.

TMC’s (News - Alert) Michael Guta rounded out the week with news that Metalogix’s new Content Matrix 8.1 has been improved to further simplify cloud migration. Guta states in the article, “With this new version, it has become the first solution to support Microsoft (News - Alert)'s Online Provider Migration Containers for minimizing migration configurations.” There’s a lot that goes into successfully minimizing the headaches associated with cloud migration, so make sure to catch up on all the details.

While some exciting news has been highlighted here, that’s certainly not all that went on this week. Be sure to head to Lync Migration for all the updates, and come back next week for the latest insights. Have a great weekend!
