Pexip to Showcase Modality Systems' CustomInvite at Microsoft Ignite 2016

Today's workforce is dramatically different than what it was a decade ago. The introduction of smart mobile devices, social media and wireless broadband now makes it possible for employees to work from virtually anywhere. This has introduced a collaborative environment in which employees and their colleagues, vendors and customers can interact with each other using the technology. The CustomInvite software created by Modality System, which will be showcased at Microsoft (News - Alert) Ignite by Pexip, is going to simplify the process of bringing participants of Skype (News - Alert) for Business meetings together using Outlook.

Pepix, a company that creates solutions to enable enterprises and organizations to provide video-based communications and collaboration tools to all of their employees, will showcase the full features and benefits of CustomInvite.

It should come as no surprise Modality Systems has created a solution that improves Skype for Business, as the company is one of the largest dedicated practices in the world for the communications platform. It currently supports customers in more than 100 countries by making Skype for Business more accessible to advance communications and collaboration with a complete end-to-end service for business.

CustomInvite uses Outlook to customize meetings and improve the user experience by saving time and costs. Although Microsoft Outlook is more commonly known as an email application, it is much more than that. It is a personal information manager that includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking, journal and web browsing. These are features that can be integrated into different applications to introduce efficiency in how meetings or other tasks can be scheduled.

CustomInvite users can now customize the invite content for Skype for Business meeting requests sent through Microsoft Outlook with joining details such as codes or numbers based on locations and other criteria. If it is part of a marketing campaign, corporate messaging and branding can be added to address regional or global audiences. And when participants are ready to be part of a conference, they can do so with one click join mobile access.

“Today, customers move rapidly to video based communications rather than just audio, and as a result, require cross-platform video interoperability to make sure both their existing and new solutions work seamlessly together. This is what drives the adoption of new products and solutions in the enterprise.” said Åsmund O. Fodstad, CEO of Pexip.

Pexip will bring its renowned cross-platform interoperability solution as part of CustomInvite to simplify the adoption process so organizations can start using it and benefit from their communications deployments.

The 2016 Microsoft Ignite will take place September 26 through September 30, 2016 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. And as is the case every year, a wide range of products and services are announced that use many of the technologies Microsoft offers.
