AccessPBX Data Migration Helps Users Switch to Skype for Business

Any business officials who have searched for meeting scheduling software know that the market is full of choices. Prominent market entities all handle their assets in varying fashions, but many vendors use underlying meeting date formats that third parties can capture and manipulate.

This is why AccessPBX has released a free version of its Meeting Converter for Skype (News - Alert) for Business Online, which tries to make migration as easy as possible.

Meeting Converter intends to grab information from other platforms so businesses can use their calendar data in the cloud. It has the ability to search for information in existing Microsoft Lync and on-premise Skype for Business installations as well as Cisco (News - Alert) WebEx. It is expected to soon work with additional vendors’ software.

Users need only to enter the AccessPBX interface and select the meetings in their existing meeting installations that they want to move to Office 365. The migration software then moves all the necessary data and pairs it with the user’s Skype phone number and access credentials.

AccessPBX brands this migration software as a method of helping users cut the cord early. For those clients that did not realize they already had additional scheduling software in their systems, their hesitance to move and keep everything under the guise of Office 365 could be relaxed when they find a tool to make the migration easier. Following such a switch, businesses large and small may find that their workdays are much more streamlined because they keep all their work inside the same online service. Microsoft’s Office 365 and Skype for Business have taken hold in recent years and have the expectation of growth on their side. The grouping of services now offered online remains one of the largest and most capable cloud-based office suites available, and the addition of AccessPBX and other third party helping tools shows that moving all office tasks to the Microsoft cloud can be less painful than some may imagine.
