Sennheiser Unveils New Headphones for Business
By Andrew Bindelglass
Long before Apple’s (News - Alert) purchase of Beats by Dre made high quality headphones a trendy buy, Sennheiser had quietly been crafting luxury headphones packed with the latest technologies for several decades. That practice has only continued to this day, and this Monday the company unveiled its new MB 660 line of headphones, which are designed specifically for office use.
These headphones are designed to minimize distractions while preserving high quality audio and verbal communication capabilities. With this in mind, these new headphones have two noise cancellation options that can adapt to the environment around them, allowing workers to block out noises around them while managing to avoid the ringing echoes that tend to accompany older generation noise cancelling headphones. Workers can also use the free CapTune app from Sennheiser to tune their headphones themselves, expertly tailoring it for their surroundings.
In addition to the high quality audio and noise cancelling features that Sennheiser offers, these headphones are also optimized for use in the business environment. All of the MB 660 headphones come with their own built in microphone, which also possesses noise filtering technologies and Sennheiser’s SpeakFocus, Advanced Own-Voice Detector, and WindSafe features, which allow for clarity when communicating. The headphones are also certified for Microsoft (News - Alert) Skype for Business, and can be used with any Unified Collaboration and Real Time Communication Software, as well as traditional telephones.
“Today's open office environments have been shaped to facilitate fast, flexible collaboration. But there will always be times when we need to reclaim space for ourselves—either to fully concentrate communicate and collaborate in mobile work environments or simply to relax while listening to music,” says Andreas Bach, president of Sennheiser Communications (News - Alert) A/S. Sennheiser has succeeded in creating a headphone that is optimized for business use while still being of a high enough quality and comfortable enough to be used for personal use as well.
