There are certain big companies in each industry that, if they recognize you, your business basically has it made. Some of the big name companies include Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and Microsoft (News - Alert). Microsoft’s Skype for Business certification is one of the most sought-after, stringent VoIP certifications available. In order to become certified, a company must meet Microsoft’s quality, reliability, feature-set and security standards.
Skype for Business offers organizations enterprise-level security, Cloud PBX (News - Alert) with PSTN Calling, and PSTN Conferencing. It is trusted by many organizations, making it the ideal integration to be associated with. However, Microsoft’s standards are so strict that fewer than 80 companies are recognized as enterprise VoIP carriers by Microsoft. That’s why it’s so exciting that Telnyx, a provider of wholesale VoIP services, has received Skype (News - Alert) for Business certification as a SIP trunk provider.
Telnyx’s SIP trunking services, via its Mission Control Self-Service Portal and API, allow enterprises to connect their on-premise Skype for Business infrastructure to an external PSTN network in a scalable way, which results in high quality PSTN interconnectivity via the Internet. Telnyx has built a global private network that changes the flow of communications, and, with the new certification, Skype for Business now offers Telnyx the ability to offer its services to a new segment of the market: the enterprise.
Needless to say, Telnyx is proud of its accomplishment and cannot wait to start reaping the benefits associated with Skype for Business. “Our ability to achieve this certification using our proprietary platform rather than off-the-shelf hardware proves that Telnyx is converging the telecom service provider and telecom equipment manufacturer models in a way that will enable new and unique modes of communication available to the enterprise,” said Ian Reither, COO at Telnyx. “This is an opportunity to continue to bring leadership and innovation to this industry.”
Reither continued to express his excitement over the certification by saying, “Being recognized as a Skype for Business certified carrier for secure enterprise VoIP demonstrates our commitment to delivering the best in real-time communications…It’s an important step as we continue to service customers globally.”
