Location Based Technologies, a company that has been designing and developing A-GPS location devices and customizable services, signed an agreement with EE, a provider of mobile and fixed-broadband communications services in U.K. through the Orange (News - Alert) and T-Mobile brands.
Through this agreement, both companies will be working together to promote PocketFinder GPS products in the United Kingdom.
“Our relationship with EE represents an extraordinary opportunity for our company,” Dave Morse, chief executive officer at Location Based Technologies, said in a statement.
“This year, we stated our desire to enter the European marketplace and this is the type of relationship we have been looking for. EE is yet another elite organization has selected LBT as their partner because of our world class location solutions. We are proud to be working with EE.”

LBT is planning to deliver trial PocketFinder devices to EE within 30 days, and the devices will be sold in EE’s stores through the holidays. Under the terms of the agreement, this initial run of devices could be a pre-cursor to a larger and more involved relationship between the two companies.
LBT has been working on the complexities of emerging GPS and wireless technologies in order to deliver a simple, easy-to-use solution that will increase its users’ ability to stay connected and to coordinate with their business and family.
Recently, the company announced its agreement with America Movil to offer the PocketFinder family of location devices and services in Mexico and Latin America for wireless management.
