RivieraWaves, a wireless connectivity silicon IP (Intellectual Property) provider, has stated that the company has received IEEE (News - Alert) Wi-Fi 11n certification for its new scalable Wi-Fi 802.11ac silicon IP.

When it comes to complicated MIMO configurations, the IP can get enhanced throughput close to the maximum theoretical values. Therefore, it is suited for applications such as smart phones, tablets, computers, digital TVs and set-top boxes.

The new product lines, 802.11n and 802.11ac, are already being used by users. Consisting of MAC, modem and radio, they are available in various configurations, including MIMO, the company has stated.
