M2M communication services draw great attention these days. Comparing it with traditional H2H (Human to Human), M2M comes with new problems and should change network technologies in several aspects.
M2M technology provider, Jasper Wireless (News - Alert), has launched M2M Catalyst, a program to let partner operators establish and capitalize on new services for connected devices.
M2M Catalyst offers mobile operators a program designed to accelerate their service offerings in existing and emerging connected devices sectors. It has been made over three components that offer essential training and tools, launching assistance and access to a service ecosystem – Launch, Build and Expand.
Launch includes set of tools to help operators get their sales and operational functionalities ready for servicing M2M customers. This includes sales enablement training, organizational practices consulting, sales and marketing templates, and overall project management. Build is a developer program with which operators can engage prospective customers in their M2M service offerings, and establish accounts on Control Center, the platform for M2M enterprises.
Expand gives partner operators access to Jasper Wireless’ ecosystem of diverse vertical service providers, which offer a range of services that rely on M2M connectivity and regard integration with Control Center.
Shawn Welsh, vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Telular (News - Alert), a Jasper ecosystem solution provider, commented on the benefits of the program: “Telular is pleased to be part of the M2M Catalyst program. Our SkyBitz (News - Alert), TankLink and Telguard solutions can help operators move quickly into the growing asset and security monitoring verticals with feature-rich M2M services.”
Pat Romano, president and CEO at ChargePoint, also a Jasper ecosystem partner, explained that, “as the largest network of independently owned electric vehicle charging stations, ChargePoint is eager to work with Jasper’s partner operators to enhance electric vehicle charging solutions with M2M connectivity and associated cloud based services.”
“For the mobile operator, speed is the key. The M2M Catalyst program not only provides tools and support for setting up and growing an M2M business, but is an opportunity for operators to tap into best practices from around the world, so that they get the competitive edge by accelerating their own time-to-market,” Macario Namie, vice president of Marketing at Jasper Wireless, said in a statement.
