Twisted Pair's WAVE Software Integrated with Trimble's Fleet Management Solution

Trimble has launched its Trimble TrimFleet Communicator and partnered with Twisted Pair Solutions (News - Alert), a provider of mobile workforce communications, for secure, real-time voice communication.

Officials explained that the Trimble TrimFleet Communicator will integrate Twisted Pair’s WAVE (News - Alert) software with Trimble’s fleet management solution. The combined product will enable an integrated push-to-talk (PTT) voice communication that suits applications in the construction materials industry for improving system performance and collaboration.

John Rice, general manager of Trimble’s (News - Alert) Construction Logistics Division said, “Excellent communication between the field and office is vital to our customers’ success. By recognizing a need for improved communications between dispatchers, mechanics and truck drivers in the materials industry, we were able to create a solution, incorporating WAVE software, which provides easy, integrated real-time voice communication to help improve delivery efficiency and fleet management for our customers.”

Trimble’s TrimFleet solution encompasses TrimView, TrimFleet Mobile and also TrimFleet Communicator. TrimFleet users include delivery drivers, mechanics, site project managers and dispatchers who can communicate with other workers in real time with a PTT device.

This collaboration enhances workflow, project accuracy and delivery speed as dispatchers can use an automated, real-time interface for monitoring vehicle location and coordinate delivery status for individual fleets.

According to officials, Trimble’s solution lets fleet managers send and receive messages to fleet crews and generate reports, while adjusting delivery schedules according to situation. TrimFleet Communicator with WAVE at its core allows fleets to engage in real-time voice communication over 3G.

This enables team members to exchange critical information in the most efficient manner they can.

WAVE software empowers TrimFleet Communicator to provide a seamless and integrated solution, using which fleet operators can communicate. TrimFleet Communicator effectively unifies communication for the construction materials industry, enabling decision makers to arrive at quick informed decisions, increasing operational efficiencies.
