With a large number of vehicles plying the roads round the clock, managing passenger transportation is a challenge for any organization. But technology can make such mundane but important tasks simpler, while making transportation safe and easy to handle.
Looking to help transit agencies improve their operational efficiencies, the North Dakota Department of Transportation has selected the intelligent transportation system from RouteMatch Software.
According to RouteMatch, the company’s flexible technology platform is ideal for small rural operations, as it can be easily upgraded to meet future needs. It is equipped with in-built configuration and modules, which helps to cater to the information needs of urban systems.
With this new agreement, the North Dakota Department of Transportation will now be able to achieve centralized data management along with standardized reporting facility. The North Dakota Department of Transportation will also utilize RouteMatch Software's platform for Transit Asset Management, the company has stated.
The Demand Response software from the company simplifies the task of keeping track of passenger transportation. It also allows passenger information to be stored and used when needed. Users can also perform manual scheduling overrides and add new service parameters and funding sources.
“We're very excited that North Dakota is using our technology across so many different areas of operations and to further their long term vision for regional coordination and transit asset management," said Tim Quinn, Executive Vice President, RouteMatch Software. "Transit agencies are already seeing ROI and are deeply committed to helping North Dakota transit agencies and the North Dakota Department of Transportation succeed in reaching their goals and helping their communities.”
Recently, the company was selected as the finalist list in the 7th annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. The event witnessed in excess of 1,100 entries from numerous companies.
