M2M market is in high gear due to increasing number of connected devices and the escalating application of this technology in numerous industries. Novatel Wireless (News - Alert) is a company dedicated to providing M2M solutions for a wide variety of applications. The company recently announced that it has achieved AT&T network certification of its advanced M2M devices, including the MiFi Powered SA 2100, the MT 4100 mobile tracking device, the SA-G+ telemetry platform and the Enabler HS 3002 module.

“With the recent certification of the SA 2100 to run on AT&T’s (News - Alert) network, our industry-leading portfolio of M2M devices expands the range of customer applications supported including telematics, usage based insurance, in-vehicle Internet connectivity, vehicle tracking, theft recovery and more,” Joe Peterson, vice president of Sales, Novatel Wireless’ M2M business unit, said in a statement.

AT&T’s certification has helped Novatel Wireless to deliver its M2M products that can offer unparalleled telemetry, vehicular connectivity and telematics solutions to customers on AT&T’s network.

Novatel’s MiFi Powered SA 2100 is a programmable M2M gateway solution for commercial and consumer telematics as well as fixed telemetry markets. The solution is ideal for high-bandwidth M2M applications and enables Internet connectivity via 4G LTE (News - Alert) for Ethernet, USB, GPIOs and Wi-Fi enabled solutions in telemetry, fleet management, connected car, digital signage and security.

Mentioning about its MT 4100, Novatel highlighted that it is a flexible, full-featured M2M device for fleet management, designed to deliver insurance telematics and stolen vehicle recovery solutions. It is designed to offer superior GPS location performance, using an on-board Smart Agent event engine for accelerometer based driver behavior reporting, geo-fencing, messaging and other events over the AT&T HSPA network. It also features multiple I/O ports, 1-Wire interface, Garmin (News - Alert) Fleet Management Interface and an M2M API that simplifies fleet management back-office integration and compatibility with the on-board Smart Agent event engine.

Novatel’s SA-G+ operates over the HSPA network and provides connectivity for machines requiring low data throughput to the mobile Internet. Applications range from Remote Monitoring Automation & Control (RMAC) in public utilities, oil/gas, manufacturing and facilities, to cellular connectivity for ATM, vending and lottery machines, parking meters and gaming terminals.

Also, the Enabler HS 3002 is a 3G M2M HSPA module equipped with an embedded Smart Agent designed to excel in applications requiring low power consumption, emergency voice, extended temperature range and multiple radio choices providing seamless integration into mission-critical OEM solutions.

In another news, Novatel announced that its MiFi 5510 mobile hotspot is now available to support Verizon Wireless (News - Alert)' regional partners and B13 (700 MHz) carriers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
