Rogers Mobile Shopper Enables Canadians to Have a Personalized In-store Shopping Experience Via Their Smartphone

Canadians will be happy to hear that Rogers has released a mobile shopper solution that will enable them to have a personalized in-store shopping experience. The company confirmed that this new machine-to-machine (M2M) solution will help customers interact with brands to find out the latest mobile discounts available; current offers and also give them the option to make payment by leveraging mobile payment technology. Rogers Communications (News - Alert) is one of the biggest providers of wireless voice and data communications services in Canada.

All this can now be done via a smartphone that has the mobile shopper solution installed. Currently, Rogers is testing its solution in Ontario at select RioCan based shopping centers. In a statement, Mansell Nelson, Vice-President, Advanced Business Solutions, Rogers said "Access to real-time information and applications on mobile devices is changing how Canadians shop and make purchase decisions. Rogers Mobile Shopper gives Canadians a personal in-store shopping experience right to their smartphone. For retailers, this connected solution allows them to deliver more value to customers, increase loyalty and drive revenue."

Canadian shoppers should benefit from the new mobile shopper solution as it will look to enhance the overall shopping experience of the consumer. The mobile shopper solution will provide a number of advantages to Canadian customers. Some of these include ensuring customers get targeted and personalized offers, messages and information that are relevant to them; enabling customers to engage with their favourite retailers across; equipping them with multiple channels from social media to the web and the store and offering an efficient transaction process with mobile point-of-sale solutions and tap-and-go technology.
