Raveon Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of wireless data modems, custom OEM wireless data and GPS tracking solutions, recently partnered with M2M Spectrum (News - Alert) Networks to provide a wireless solution for its nationwide machine to machine (M2M) network platform.
"Raveon is pleased to be partnering with M2M to create this innovative new data network. Our alliance with M2M and its partners will revolutionize the wireless industry again,” stated John Sonnenberg, president and chief executive officer of Raveon Technologies, in a statement.
Recently, M2M Spectrum Networks unveiled its plan to build and operate the first licensed, all-IP, wireless M2M network throughout the United States. The company had planned to rollout the network in multiple phases, with several trials scheduled to begin in Q2 2014. The company is expecting that this network will cover 75 percent of the U.S. population by the end of 2015, and 95 percent by the end of 2016.
Toward achieving this, the company has been executing numerous strategic partnering agreements with well-established wireless companies. This is believed to help the company to obtain radio spectrum assets and advanced new wireless network technology to construct and operate the network and to aid ways to overcome system complexity, reduce costs and reduce time to market.
“We were eager to work with a company that aligns with our core values of doing business,” stated Barclay Knapp, chief executive officer of M2M Spectrum Networks. “We needed a system that consolidated our operations onto a single platform. The flexibility and marketplace reputation of Raveon as that converged solution was pivotal in our selection.”
Apart from Raveon, M2M Spectrum Networks has accomplished many other strategic partnering agreements with well-known wireless companies such as Commdex, Crown Castle, TrueNet, 4G Unwired, and Powder River.
