Huawei (News - Alert) has taken a forward step in this certification process. Recently, the company announced that it has received certification for its MC323 embedded module on the Aeris (News - Alert) Communications' cellular network. The MC323 can be used in M2M applications such as metering, mobile payment, industrial router, and AMI devices.
MC323 is a designed Dual-band CDMA 1X module. It comes in a small size and provides a B2B form factor. The B2B form factor is specially designed for industrial-grade M2M applications such as vehicle telematics, tracking, mobile payment, industrial router, AMI device, etc. Offering updated features like embedded TCP/IP stack, SMS Support, and Huawei enhanced AT commands, MC323 provides support for 153.6kbps downlink data rate. All Huawei modules comply with the RoHS directive and Regional certification.
The MC323 achieves important communications between CDMA 1x and GSM/GPRS. The features and specifications that are provided in this module make it an ideal platform to be used in the Aeris network.

The company’s MC323 and EM660 products are certified on the Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless network. Huawei's EM660 offers numerous features that are tuned to the unique requirements of laptops, tablets and M2M solutions. The module is 51 x 30 x 5mm.
