Telesphere (News - Alert), a pure-play provider of unified cloud communications, recently announced that it has completed independent qualification of SIP trunking services for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync 2010, certifying that the company’s SIP trunking services are compatible with Lync implementations.

Telesphere’s SIP services tie neatly into client’s existing infrastructure, employing a hybrid of trunks to their on-premises PBX (News - Alert) and cloud-based PBX seats from Telesphere. The private SIP maintains interoperability with the most innovative and widely respected IP PBX manufacturers through industry-leading Session Border Controllers powered by Acme Packet. These IP PBX manufacturers include: Microsoft Lync, Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk (News - Alert), Zultys, and more.

"Microsoft qualification gives CIOs and IT managers peace of mind that Telesphere's private SIP trunking services are tested with Lync," said Sanjay Srinivasan, Telesphere CTO. "This is the latest example of Telesphere's commitment to providing businesses with advanced solutions."

"Lync gives enterprises a competitive advantage by enabling real-time, intuitive communication and collaboration," said Laura Howard (News - Alert), Senior Director of Lync Partner Engineering at Microsoft. "Telesphere's private SIP trunking services gives enterprises a convenient, low-complexity option for extending their Lync implementations across multiple facilities around the country."

Telesphere offers carrier-grade performance and support for wireline and mobile devices to businesses over its private IP MPLS network; one of the largest of its kind in the nation.  Offering a fully-integrated suite of unified communications capabilities, Telesphere's hosted services allow businesses of any size to enjoy all the latest voice, video, data and collaboration features of large enterprise systems without the costly investment in on-premises equipment.

Meanwhile, Telesphere has named Concierge Communications, master agent and broker of telecommunications services and applications for businesses, as its winning channel partner producer for 2012. According to a release, Concierge has now held this distinction for nine years. As a master broker, Concierge offers the communications services of Telesphere, as well as the services of other providers, to its national base of business customers. Among the types of services Concierge offers its clients are: Managed Services, Mobility, Hosted Services, Voice and Data, and Contact Center Services.
